Our Vision and Mission
We, the Salesians of Don Bosco of the Sacred Heart Province of Bangalore, in imitation of the compassionate love of the Sacred Heart, commit ourselves to the integral and inclusive development of youth, especially the poor and the marginalized, and the other disadvantaged sections of society, in collaboration with all those who strive for the realization of a new society based on the Gospel values of love, peace and justice, in the Don Bosco way.
Salesians of Don Bosco
The Salesians belong to a religious order founded by St Joh Bosco in 1859 in Turin. With the Blessed Virgin as his guide, he sought to incarnate among the poor and needy youth the compassionate love of the Good Shepherd. In this attempt he was inspired by the goodness and zeal of St Francis de Sales. Today we are working in over 132 countries all over the world with a strength of about 15,000 Salesians.
