Don Bosco PYaR organized the “International Day of Child Rights” under the project “Empowerment of Children through Education and Promotion of Children’s Rights” in collaboration with Azim Premji Foundation on 20th Nov 2023 at Kannada Bhavan Kalaburagi. It was inaugurated by Mrs. Manjula P., DCPO Kalaburagi. Chief guests of the program were, Sri Sakreppa Gowda C. Biradar, Deputy Director of Public Instructions, Sri Srihari Deshpande, District Labour Officer, Sri Vijayakumar Patil Tegalatippi, President of District Kannada Sahitya Parishad, Sri Mahadev Moolage, Regional co-ordinator of Azim Premji Foundation, Rev. Fr. Tomy Chirakal, Rector Don Bosco Gulbarga, and Rev. Fr. Kuriakose, Director of Don Bosco PYaR.
While addressing the gathering, the DCPO appreciated Don Bosco for promoting Education and Child Rights, especially in the rural areas of Kalaburagi. It was an occasion that brought together all the District officers to address children’s issues. After the inaugural program, children from 20 villages took part in the dance competition in a highly competitive spirit. The program was successfully concluded with the prize distribution.
