The life of Sunil Rangegowda (Appu) from “Real Life” to “Reel Life” is a miraculous journey from impossibility to possibility. It is a life of a “school flop” to a film director. From being a failure in school, he was admitted for his technical studies in our Don Bosco Technical Institute in Hassan. From being a 2nd Rank holder there, he moved on in life to chase loftier dreams. In order to pursue his desire to get into acting and films, he was sent to BOSCO, Bangalore. There he got associated with people that mattered in the film industry. With the exposure that he gained, he has now become a film director – thanks to all the training that he received at Don Bosco, Hassan, and BOSCO, Bangalore. The movie that he directed is named, “Park Road 100 Rupayee.” The movie has got “U Certified Education Category Status.”

Sir Biju and Fr Raju Unnaramkallel were Sunil’s mentors in the technical institute. They turned out to be his saviours in making a definite choice in his life. It was a prophecy of Fr Raju that Sunil would make it big in his life. That the prophecy came true can be seen from his own words. “My life had changed after joining Don Bosco I.T.I. School. As a 10th fail to I.T.I. 2nd rank holder, to gaining a job in Bangalore and becoming a movie director… it all seemed like a dream which is now true. This is just another life-story worth recounting.
